How did your love story begin?: We met online just under three years ago. We got engaged in the height of COVID. I am a serious planner and we had a plan of what the engagement would look like and he fully suprised me and caught me off guard with his own plan. He out-planned the planner! It was the best. We worked to create an intimate wedding with details we knew would make the day special for us.
What was your vision for your wedding?: We were going for white, silver and gold with a hint of sparkle, all while being by the lake. Something classic but not over the top. We wanted it to feel like us and the family. We knew certain elements we had to have like smaller cakes and a balloon arch to set the mood.
Tell us all about your wedding dress!: The dress was an unexpected amazing find that I was in love with! Especially being lakeside it really looked like I came out of the lake in my sparkle dress…little mermaid style! I loved it. I wanted to have something that was more fitted and was looking to shop the sample sale but what I found was amazing and felt just like me. I loved the dress and loved that it felt and looked just like me!
You planned and you planned, but how did the day ACTUALLY go?!: The day was wonderful and we had a great time. It was just as I had imagined it and hoped. My favorite part was family seeing my dress and also our confetti cannons! So much fun!!
What is your best advice for future brides-to-be?: My advice is to focus on moments to keep things about you both. Make sure you have a first look or time to spend for a few minutes just you two. It makes a huge difference and helps remind you of the moment between both of you! The day goes so fast and I loved those moments.
