”Alena Leena Bridal was founded by Head Designer Alyona Kostyk and marries two continents, with a creative studio in multicultural Cape Town and a top quality professional team in Ukraine. Each dress is tailor made with the option to customize to a bride’s specific requirements. Luxurious Italian satin and silk underline the uncompromising quality. A hallmark of the brand is that every gown is named after a flower which is the main source of inspiration. Each design encapsulates the mysticism and symbolism of the natural power that is evoked by each flower.”

Q1: Where are you based?

A: South Africa and Ukraine.

Q2: What’s your inspo when you design?

A: I am always inspired by challenge of creating new, unique structures of each gown. I like to use my imagination for planning to achieve specific vision that comes to mind. My team and I are never shy or scared of designs that at first may seem impossible, we always find ways to bring dreams to life.

Q3: Tell us a little bit more about you and your background.

A: I am Ukrainian living in South Africa. I have a degree in Clinical Physiology, yet creating dresses has been my passion since the age of 5, that’s the age when my Grandmother taught me how to saw, knit, crochet. This love for creating magic with my hands has stayed with me thought out life, which lead me to getting fashion designer degree. I was lucky to share many memories with my Grandmother and now I get to do it with my team in order for brides to create their own happy memories on their special day.

Q4: What’s your favorite dress from your collection?

A: Favorite dress is always the one I am busy designing at the time. This never changes.

Q5: Describe the “Alena Leena” bride.

A: AlenaLeena bride knows what she wants and doesn’t compromise on her dreams.

A: My team and I ALWAYS go far and beyond, doing absolutely everything possible when it comes to custom orders and special requests from our brides. If its technically and physically possible – we will make it happen for you.
